i THINK this song has something to do with religion. follow me on this and see if you see it: the first verse, (speaking to Christians in this explination but fill in your own religious text and leaders and so on where i type Christian verbage)

the first verse, the folks that wrote the bible. they write it, edit it (KJV), distribute it, etc. and have no tolerance for those that disbelieve..(sympathetic ink, suspending disbelief, thinking caps, etc)

the second verse, money won't get you what u seek in religion. arguing about it (splitting hairs), can give you self-satisfaction, but if you "connect the dots", and see the overall picture (be good, love each other, yourself, etc.) then "you might get the point"..("charities" - loving others and "modesty" - loving yourself)

the third verse is the singers/writers own relgious perspective: he doesn't "suspend disbelief" and those that want everything explained (masterminds) just want to map out the bible and not live it....he, the singer/writer, has every bit of faith he will R.I.P.

the chours: so take the bait, do what you have to do (however much it takes) to come to your own spiritual satisfaction. (take your own advice before you take a side = bridge)

whatcha think? is that a stretch?
