I know this sounds cheesey but, as I was listening to this song I was reflecting on the book I had just read by journalist Jon Krakauer- Into The Wild. It's about Chris McCandless a twenty some year old guy "from a well-to-do family [who] hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. He Had given his entire $25,000 in savings to charity, abandoned his car and most of his possessions, burned all the cash in his wallet, and invented a new life for himself..."

This song sounds eerily reminescent of the story, and although Chris died up in Alaska on his own and latter part of his life may have been based on nothing but youthfull fantasies, I can't help but want something like that for myself.

Anyways, the song, even though that's not what it's about, still feels as if it's calling me to some sort of life like that. Seems as though the majority of my own life has been based in fantasy as most of the great memories in my mind are of things I've read or seen or saw or heard about but never experienced.

Oh Well...
