Basically, it's about being impatient towards not knowing where two people stand in a relationship. The other person is not ready to commit, and the singer is promising that there's nothing that could have already ruined their relationship, and there's nothing that could ruin it in the future, if the other person is willing to invest in the relationship what the singer already has.
