I agree with sk8rgrl in that a guy knows his girlfriend is sneaking around and is feeling jealous of those other guys because, obviously, his girlfriend would rather be with them than him. And I think his jealousy turns into more of an "I don't give a shit anymore" attitude towards the end, especially with that "your heart is charcoal smoking black, why don't you just tie the mattress to your back" line.
