First of all, the lyrics in my opinion aren't as straightforward as you may think.
"My ear is pressed upon this wall,
For behind it is that place.
The door is locked...
I'll do whatever it takes"
The place, judging by their Christianity, is Heaven. And the narrator will do whatever it takes to get there. He has seen it in a dream. He is wondering if this person will follow the path he's chosen as well, assuring them all the way that he/she is sure this is the right path.
At the end of the song, it seems they converse of reaching heaven.:
When we arrive
We will hear
Voices sing.
(these could be the angels, or others who made it)
The last stanza I've quoted could mean what the Bible and church teachings tell us- once we get to Heaven, nothing else will matter except God. Our worries will fly off and we'll forever be with him, who is all we need.
Truely beautiful. They speak the Truth.

Nothing matters. Nothing matters anymore. Nothing matters anymore, anymore, anymore."
