Don't diss this, but am I the only one reminded of Harry Potter, here?! Seriously. Harry totally lost his role within the trio to Hermione (with the honest face) in the last two books. All his heroes left him. The 'wise' men, that is the people with authority (Dumbledore and Scrimgoeur- however the frick you spell his name), they were all defeated, and made their escape, leaving him to deal with the burden. Then the insignificance of blood purity to him, even though that's what the whole war is about... and don't even get me started on that note!
Okay, I'm a nerd. But please say so if you happen to agree!
