so he's talking about someone who's done a lot of bad stuff, and so is a fallen star, balthazar or whatever name he's given them.
the person has died or went away, but he doesn't feel prepared at all for this person's death, because they have unfinished buzinesses, and he always thought they'd have time to sort things out.. but they didn't. so he thinks it's wrong that the person's dead, because he had waited too long for things to be right, but they never were.
I guess it's one of those weird relationships in which you don't actually know where the person's standing, and it was like that for a long time, and nothing was solved, nothing was settled and will never be.
and so he has a lot of skeletons in his closet.. except he uses the word centrefolds, that are dirty and hollower. and so the person's taken too much of the bad stuff, and can't take it anymore.. which makes me think of an overdosis.
and this thing's happened a while ago, because there's already been a goodbye, in which brian hasn' t really had his part, and hasn't been able to say his farewell.
thing is, the person was unimportant to anyone else but him, and that's why he/she's faded from everybody's eyes and won't be remembered, which hurts brian, because it scars the memory he has of the person.
reminds me of a father-son unresolved relationship also.
