What does he mean exactly with the lines:
Divided we stand
Together we fall
There's no God
That can save us all
So don't pray on your knees
Just, beg on your hands
There is no belief
In this promised land
There's no belief?
Does he actually mean he believes this, or is it to show how confused we are in these modern times? There's so many references about God on this album, there is almost at least one in every song. What is going on lately? Panic! At the Disco was the first one I noticed who had a decent reference to God and themes. Fall Out Boy's last album does as well. And now this one. And I don't really know how to take any of them. Also, on Sum 41's last album, Chuck, it seemed to me that Derrek, unknowingly to himself, was screaming out of Christ on every single song. It seems to me that everything that my generation is so "confusion and frustration" is because they don't have a good understanding, nor a good relationship with who Christ is.
