Amazing song, especially the solo, there's a tonne of emotion in it. A song about unrequited love in my opinion (as is the whole "Layla..." album) most likely the love of Pattie Boyd, and this woman doesn't want to be with him, and he's basically begging for her.
Then again it may not fit in with the whole Pattie Boyd situation.
