I kind of agree with 'iluvoth', I think it's about a little girl who loses her parents or her parents left her behind for a reason. Now they'll never know how hurt she is, how beautiful she'll become, ... In my eyes it's about how the girl is too young and too innocent to deal with all the sadness but she doesn't have to hide it because it's a part of her, and this doesn’t have to change her also her parents will never know who she’ll become. The singer wants her to not lose her innocent and not to grow up too much through all what happened, she’s just supposed to be the same little girl before everything happened.
