I can't gather many clues from the main part of this song. Most of them come from the last paragraph.

"You're all the fucking same. Worthless and waiting for a savior, That was there all along."

My take on this one is, all the people in the town are looking for some miracle to stop the murders, and none of them have faith in the police dept. If the murderer is really a cop like I think, this would offend him. He's saying that he (as the cop) could've been the savior all along, but of course he isn't going to try to catch himself (as the murderer).

As for the endnig, the camera part confuses me. I'm not sure what cameras he's talking about. But,

"I thought that I wanted this, but now I'm terribly mistaken for a fake."

probably means that whatever point he was trying to make by killing all these people was lost on the town. No one understood his motives, and now he doesn't see the point in going on.
