This is a perfect pop song. The structure is interesting.
The first verse is really short, then the middle eight comes right away "Not tonight...", followed immediately by another middle-eight "We'll go walking...".
Verse repeats, and yet another new middle-eight appears "You know I never could foresee...".
Then the false ending, followed by the real fade-out.
Pure clever pop craftmanship, and by Deacon who I believe hadn't done much songwriting yet.
And Races IS better than Opera. So there.
