i really appreciate songs like this,
not many bands can pull this off, and not sound whiny, but Lagwagon can.
i think all their harder stuff is Rad, but its impressive when a band makes a series of softer (and i mean this in the most respectful sense) songs, but still doesn't alienate their fan base, or make itself look stupid.
