Writing that song, I got relief.It evokes a lot of emotion in a positive way, but still with this dark, dreary overtone. This happened in the last year when I was using drugs, so a little over eight years ago. Nine out of ten times I don't even know what I'm writing a song about until it's recorded and I can step away from it and look back and say, 'Oh wow, that's what that song's about.'
