he did to something which was asked of him, now is paying the consequences- perhaps something she wanted him to do that he didnt feel right about?
now he feels really distant from her, but he obviously doesnt want to let her go.
deep down however he knows its not right.
now he knows what hes going to have to do is wait until he can feel right again
once he feels hes got himself back together, he figures out hes still hurting.
