I was watching Freshly Squeezed (the Lord bless that show!) and Willy Mason was on it...he is soooo cute...and he was saying that this song was actaully about how he litrally had to Save Himself, because he was broke and soemone had to put a house up for mortgage (his mother...?) to finance his music. So he saved himself through music.

I love this line. He's just got this way of writing; so...I don't know. Beautiful and direct and important. Not all about hunys and cars and stuff.
And I thought it was 'seats' not 'seeds' - as in commerce seats.
