Redhead Lyrics

hey indie gofar05, you should be proud. redheads are so underestimated and sidelined. i have a suggestion of what the lyrics mean. Perhaps its a kind of song about a redhead who is more melancholy than the rest of her friends with non-red hair, a song about being rejected on appearances alone before being able to show anyone her true side. Hence the words, "don't you know that" and "red-head cat". "Cat" kind of suggests how she's being dehumanised by those rejecting her, who obviously "don't know her". Lastly I think there's a small triumph in the last bit of the lyric- a sarcastic "don't you know that (girl)?" Seems as if she's just got famous for some reason, had some success, and now they're kind of surprised and wishing they'd known her all along. The "edge of white" and "pink dyno-mite" might be a reference to that moment on the horizon when you get noticed for some reason, and the "demons that possess your kiss" could be a reference to the two-faced people who take you for granted and then show selfish motives for knowing you (wish they'd known you all along) when you do get famous. i think its basically a song about how redheads rule, how the less common people in society will have their day in the sun and be able to look down on those who wronged them when they were small and unknown. what d ya reckon?
