Acid/LSD is dropped onto sheets of blotting paper, often the sheets will have some sort of design on them leading to different "brands" of acid. Windowpane is one of these brands, the design being a simple square if I recall correctly.
I guess the window as the entrance to an alternative world metaphor is obvious.
I was told by someone that people have been known to stick acid tabs under their eyelids for absorbtion so possibly this is why one might "put a window in your eye."
Comes from the album "Loves Secret Domain" (LSD gerrit ?) which is probably Coil's most accessable album and which is liberally sprinkled with references to hallucinogens, power/energy and magic(k.)
Its a shame more people haven't been exposed to Coil as I believe there is far more to discuss with both their lyrics and even the way they wrote/recorded their music, than there is with your average band. But they were never ones to play the music industry game, which just makes me love them more.
