Anyway. The song isn't that confusing. Yes, at the beginning he's "claiming" her. In the middle, he's infatuated with her. At the end, he becomes disgusted with what he's created - a cold-blooded killer. But he's still infatuated with her. Such is the appeal of vampires, if you read Anne Rice books and the like.
"Black heart romance" is a reference to their, well, black-hearted romance - believe it or not.
