I love the honorary title! I agree with Mea845. Basically he has felt trapped in this relationship for 2 years and feels that it is over "The chance to make it last has come and gone;Two years have passed and nothing’s changed" .But he cant break free from it since he is hesitant to tell her how he really feels "There is only one thing that has yet to be said, I am holding back", maybe he is afraid of hurting her because she is more invested in the relationship than he is "From your side of things it’s not quite over with" and she still waits for and wants his embrace. He on the otherhand wants no intimacy with her, he avoids her kiss and as she goes for it he turns his head and she gets his cheek "Scraping my cheeks with your passionless lips".
