hmmmm not realy sure but im thinking maybe like someone was in something (not sure what, maybe a certain group or something like that?) but then it changed or they felt they were out of place so they in a manner, left ti or "ran away" and then realized where they went they were out of place and where they had started was where they belonged.
but then again some lines just don't make sense to me... like the "paranoid about a fuck-me dress" and the "slimy, sticky leaves cling like leaches"
and also the title is misleading too
but other than that thats what it really seems like to me.
