Well. The wonderful thing about music is that it has many interpretations--as many interpretations as it is interpreted. For this song, I see it meaning many things, however, at this time in my life, it is about a struggle between two people: a man and a woman.
In this instance, a woman preaches to a man contradictions. Do this--don't do this--and she does or does not do them herself. He doesn't want to deal with it, and definitely doesn't want her telling him his position in things. Next lines are self-explanatory. He feeds his anger with what she preaches, and he bleeds forever, but because what could save him, is causing him to bleed, there's not a thing she can do. These next lines are kind of funny, because, when I first heard this song.. 5 years ago(?), I thought he was saying "I will confront you--will you confront me". I know that's not what it is, but it's ironic that it would fit here so pleasantly. He's saying, I'm telling you what to do, I do what you do for me. Meaning, that's not actually what he means, but, he's just doing what she does to him.
