Lyric discussion by GeekDog

The lyrics here are pretty different to what appears in the sleeve notes, although maybe they changed them from the written version, I can't make out what he's singing half the time. Here's what's in the sleeve:

Tonight, this three hour drive might as well be to Alaska. Tonight, this three hour drive seems to move toward Antarctica. Go faster car. These feet per second These mile markers can't speak to me.

Hello, talk on the telephone isn't all it's cracked up to be But that crackle and your voice move in harmony But they say that it is all but impossible But too much time has gone. Where did it go? No one knows but me. We would say so. It's not impossible to get closer with miles between, so say so

And now I'm at your door And I knock And I'm waiting. My God, you look heavenly And time is so like weather when it's gone And time is sewn like weather and it's gone.

In flip flops we take off And she is golden Though I know I must go again soon. My God, you look heavenly.

In answer to emoBettyrocket, this song is from the split EP "From the 27th State". The first three tracks on the EP are by Further Seems Forever, and the tracks 4-6 (this one being track 5) are by Recess Theory.

Since no one has done so so far, I'll offer my (possibly incorrect) interpretation: it's about a long distance relationship, the singer is driving to visit his girlfriend.
