I think that this song is about growing up...about having to face your future and the fact that in order to do that, you simply HAVE to leave love ones (family) behind. And sara is sorta saying "why aren't you happy that I'm moving on to better things? why are you so glum? why aren't you celebrating/rooting for me?"
