-Here he is saying he still has a long way to go and eventually it will all 'unfold' and fall into place.

-As xlovexandxwarx said, Mecca can mean hope. And Sonny is saying he wont give up hope.

-Here I think he is saying people have gotten too famous or full of themselves and it just gets them nowhere and they end up alone.
