It's not spooky. It was planned that way. It's not like Nathan Gale didn't plan what he was doing. He picked a date where there was limited security, so it'd be easier to get in. He took people hostage so that he could get his way. You don't do something like that without planning it. I believe in Nathan Gale's mind, killing Dimebag on the same day as John Lennon made it more...legendary in a way?
Also, does anyone find it strange that there are TONS of Kurt Cobain biographies & books about theories of how he died, but I haven't seen nearly anything like that for Dimebag? In a way, they both changed a genre of music in the same way. Pantera shaped metal, & Nirvana shaped Grunge.
