all these comments, and none of them discuss the meaning. well, here's what i think.

it seems to be about a guy who knows a girl who's in a relationship that's not so hot, and he wants her, and they've maybe even sort of been together, while she's still with her boyfriend. but he wants her to leave her boyfriend, and she doesn't want to, and she gets angry at him when he suggests this. the beginning part, Hey You always seem to catch me when I’m lying about the stupidest of things Okay Sit around I’ll stab you in the back the words "I never never should have taken this so far" seems to be referring to how he thinks he never should have gotten involved with her at all, but the lies, maybe are that he's not going to tell anyone, etc; hence the "stupidest things."

that's just what i think, hopefully you could pull something that makes sense out of that. lol.
