Some people are so ridiculous about believing that every song is about Freddie's battle with AIDS. Some have foolishly said Bohemian Rhapsody is about AIDS, which is impossible as AIDS wasn't known when they wrote that song. So far on every Queen song I look up, a swarm of people will say that it's about AIDS.

' Too much love will kill you ' doesn't send a message of death and AIDS when I listen to it...it sends a message of the danger of love, and how powerful yet deadly it really can be, hence the 'kill you' part. The song was written by Brian, and these lyrics "Too much love will kill you If you can't make up your mind Torn between the lover and the love you leave behind " kinda point out the meaning...I agree with the people who say the song is about being torn between a lover (his girlfriend at the time) and his wife (at the time) hence "Torn between the lover (affair) and the love you leave behind (wife) All in all, he's torn and heart broken, and has experienced the darker side of love. Too much love will kill you. Think about it. The love of his wife, the love of his girlfriend. It's all too much, and he's torn, and now instead of seeing love as a magical powerful thing, he's seeing it as something that's tearing him apart.

The song is pretty self explanatory!

@Pixies-Exist Anyone who has had 2 lovers at the same time and did not want to hurt either because he or she loved both and wanted to be with both, will make this their song..... Chose before it is too late

@Pixies-Exist absolutely spot on. Ive been there and this song makes perfect sense. . . I ended up hurting 2 people I love. . . And myself :-(
