To me it sound's like he's having problems with his girlfriend, keeping in touch, I think its about when hes on tour, he doesn't get to see the one he loves as much as he wants, he only gets to talk to her on the phone, etc. etc. He's trying to tell her he'll make up for it when he gets home..
