I love this song. 1st heard it on an episode of six feet under and liked it right away! It's funny, but until just now I was really oblivious to what he was saying in the chorus. I always just sang along without consciously thinking about it...but I like it. The rest of the song I always contemplated though. I think in general it is about loving someone who for some reason keeps disappointing you and you hope they will change and they keep promising they will so you give them the benefit of the doubt as well as another chance over and over, but in turn you only seem to be hurting yourself "You will give a little more,
