yep, the original version (and as much as i like Faith) is by Kathy Troccoli and it is far and away better. Way more touch and emotion. It actually feels like it's midnight somewhere and she can't sleep trying to convey this to someone. Great song nontheless, but Kathy's is the standard for sure.

this song is actually a cover from what I read. Faith's version is great though!
