I completely agree with stwjester.
Although some of his songs [I feel really good this day, yes] are definitely about god, other ones, like this, are just sharing his outlook on the world. He doesn't agree with the stereotypes for straight men, he thinks they should be able to show affection with their guy friends without being labeled as gay, ect.
