Which means, in the context of "made up malady" he keeps thinking that there's something terribly wrong with him, since his girlfriend left him or since he can't find true love. He just wants to mess up his heart so it will never cause him any pain again. This is actually a pretty sad song hidden behind a catchy chorus and melody, like most of MCS's songs. It's great =]
