This is my fave augie song.
Hard song to figure out, but my only thoughts are, is this about seeing a lover taken by another man? "it stings your eyes, what you saw when she stood in the yard and she let him undress her" then it goes on later with the melancholy feeling of it all - the dead leaves lining the street gutter, sunset coming. As for the little lights burning inside that tell you what you have to do - im not sure, maybe not suppress your anger and move on? Please comment!

This is also one of my favorite songs of theirs. I concur with levels. The only meaning I can seem to grasp out of it is the heartbreaking pain of catching a cheating lover and the introspect involved thereafter after holding in the utter disappointment and anger.

The bit with the honey is very interesting to me, the line "Like children walled in and papers drawn up for life" seems to refer to it. I think it denotes a bit of naivety such as, that which is sweet will solidify. The song comes back to this after the disappointment "On...
