I love the live acoustic-ish version of this song where he sings "psuedo punk, hip hop, J LO junk"
He may have just taken it out to avoid insulting anybody, but I personally like "J Lo" in there over "pop-rock"...but either works!
Anyway, I love the song. I love that he's not afraid to let people know that the music industry plain pisses him off.
So many of us have been thinking it and have wanted to pull our hair out listening to the "Smack that" junk all over mainstream radio, so it's about time someone with some credibility said something about it.
He realizes that it's very unlikely that we'll ever have any "legends" arise again because of the way the industry is running things nowadays.
I'm glad he called hip hop junk too. I don't think all of it's bad, and I think he probably doesn't either, but with all this hip hop that people think is good quality music lately, you just wanna be like "keep your hip hop junk" because it's so horrible and laughable that people actually think it's amazing.
