it sounds depression, but i think he's waiting for death......maybe....the main reason is the line "life is only just a part of it" and "i lie burning"......the title of the song as well. all and all seems like he's looking at things as a whole, the whole picture. just the sun, catch the wind, catch the river, almost like he's saying get a handle on life....water turns the mill i think refers to cycle of life....so it's definitely about life as whole......i think he's waiting for life to be over. i know this analysis is somewhat disjointed.....
