I think this song talks about this guy liking a girl, but his friends don't agree with them 'seeing' each other. They 'ditch' him because they are seeing each other. But he doesn't care about those 'fairweather friends', he tries to 'leave them all behind'. Instead he turns his attention to her. 'Maybe this time i could fix my eyes on you'. i could relate to this song because a similar situation happened to me. Except my once fairweather friends now support me and it really helps.
