There, the people used him as a subject of an experiment to test the affect of drugs including Lithium and Prozac. and as a result of those "experiments", Cage kept trying to kill himself.
Daryl and Cage are really good friends and Daryl wrote this whole song based on Cage's past experience when he was a teenager.
