I have been a TFK fan for a few years now, and i just recently stumbled upon this song a few months back. The vocals in it really turned my head. If you ask me, the song is obviously about a close friend losing the battle with depression. The lines about the gun inside and dropping the ball i interpret as a ticking time bomb inside the persons mind and soul that finally just goes off. Everyone handles things differently and I believe that every person has something inside them that will finally trigger that type of sadness and fear. And the leadsinger is trying his best to be there for his friend, but a person who is deeply depressed is really hard to help. This song is about the hurt both people in a friendship go through when one of them is depressed.
