yea, it makes alot of references to the boston subcultures. I love this song because when it came out, i was part of the trouble-makers hanging out in harvard square(which is in cambridge damnit, not boston).
Harvard Square is notorious for it's "pitrats". that kids that hang out in the "the pit" outside the train station and cause trouble.
Southie is a notoriously Irish Catholic Neighborhood
The North End is notoriously Italian
Beacon hill is a very rich neighborhood
Forest Hills is a train station in Jamaica Plain, which is a neighborhood of boston
I believe "flush the boys out of Dot" is referring to Dorchester, but i could be wrong.
I'm not reallly sure where Father Mac's is or what the "Old School of the Bright" is. any insight to that would be appreciated.
