I think this song is based around the power of conformity. I think it's talking about how we know our generation today is sort of dark but were afraid to save it due to the fact we think we'll be hated for being different. Then when someone does break free we make them feel terrible so that we won't break our fake selves and reveal the real us. As much as we may deny it their is mass conformity among the youth of our world today and nobody's going to change it. Despite the fact we're all hating it most of us are participating in it. This seems to be talking about the fact that if individually we all just be ourselves there will be no norm. and therefore no basis on which to judge people. lots of problems would dissapear but we do nothing about it. Again as I said though we all hate it we all do it Therefore continuing the cycle. You do it...someone saw you they do it...someone saw them that person does. And so on until we are all trapped in a mold of lies pain and self destruction.
