He realizes this, making him feel like a monster, introducing the song by saying that it hurts him the most, in fact, it kills him.
Or you can go with the shitty, cliche "I can't find the right girl to fall in love with" emo crap. But you see, MM can't be emo, because MM makes music to cry over, hatred of self rather than hatred of life, making him elegantly brutal.
