(though i may agree with 'anferneee' that its most likely about a person that got eaten and killed by a vampire...) I have my own view of it; and its kinda depressing if you see it from my eyes...
The way i see it is that: a perticular person has a dream or a goal he/she wants to achive. Everyone says that he/she cant do it![probabily cause the goal isnt possible, or the people arnt very nice/encouraging=[. ] but he/she doesnt care, he/she just tries for it anyway.
Then, at the worst possible moment the Dream is Shattered!=[ now that perticular person cant forgive himself/herself knowing or thinking that everyone was right. He/She cant forgive himself/herself for digging their own grave.
so basicly i believe that this song is another way of saying 'i told you so!' and 'dreams can never be achived, so stop believing in yourself'. =[[[
