It does, trust me, it's the name of the album. Is there another version where he says, "I just wish you had died." It'd be interesting if he changed that lyrics, because that would seem to reflect his pre-If Work Permits mindset. After Nate wrote If Work Permits, he said he had something of an epiphany about the value in "Just being alright" and not being mad at this girl anymore.
Pretty incredible song. Another example of how this band is the best at making a simple song so brilliantly complex.
