i think they're talking specifically about those days in the summer when it's really lovely & hot outside but you have to go to school/work/college- hence "what a bummer"! & which is why they "live for the weekends" cos they won't be working or the "bleak days of illness and pain" cos they can be home from work/whatever... & the evenings are the "best part of the day" cos they can come home & chill out in the sun :) does anyone else get me?!
