Slinkstersars, that's really perceptive. I like your assessment of the song.

Two Way Diamond hits me as being a very claustrophobic song. It's desolate, and it's brooding.

What with the talk of "these walls" and describing the events just outside them (the star, the engine), and the routine of daily life, the song seems as though it's about being caught in a loop, a sort of a prison. It seems that there's a yearning to break free of it, however, as the last minute of part I and the entirety of part II are ponderous and much more ebullient than the first three minutes of part I.

At least that's my take on it.
