i heard on the radio that this was about a couple in the iraq/lebanon war. the police state idea is fantastic and it works, but i think that the war idea just fits a bit better, especially with the second verse.
either way, both ideas so far are pretty much ther same thing and they both mean this song is a beautiful, fearless love story as well as a fanbloodytastic song. love it
