It's very much about a kind of 'happy place' you go where no matter hoe bad life around you may be, this place is always there and full of beauty and innocence.
I agree with PhilVet - One Crowded Hour is possibly augie's most mainstream song, which is how they got known in mainstream circles, but i went to a show where they played, and this was the opening number, and me and my dad were in awe because this is one of our ABSOLUTE favourite augie songs, and everyone was yelling the whole way though "play one crowded hour!!"
There is so much more to Augie than One Crowded Hour, even though it is one of my favourites, along with this and Asleep in Perfection.
