I am not sure but in the second verse it sounds like the narrator is cheating on his girl friend. It sounds like he is trying to justify it and is to chicken to come clean. At least that is what it sounds like to me.
@Running Out Of Ink I don't think he's cheating. I think in the 2nd verse he's singing to the girl he truly does love, who he doesn't have (or no longer has) and is trying to kid himself that the girl he loves intermittently is a lot like her but deep down he knows he could never love her the same.
