For me, this song is a lot like the other songs that Sonata has done (Letter to Dana, Mary Lou)-- a suffering girl who may or may not find her way. This has to be one of my favourite songs by them, it's simply so beautiful. I see it exactly like princess sophie said; an abusive relationship, and the song is telling her that there are good things in life that are within her reach, if she'd only find it within herself to find them.
this one part of the repetitions of the chorus sums it up :
Dancing on the path and singing, now you got away
You can reach the goals that you have set from now on, every day
There is no way you would go back now, oh no, those days are past
Life´s there for the ones who love to live and take it all, for it is free.
It's telling her she can be who she wants to be, she can still love and experience the sunlight in its fullest. Accepting her past and loving herself all the same. I don't think it really means anything about suicide as I see it, but more so overcoming your demons and still surviving, and not taking the easy way out.
